Rafael -New Security System Implemented


Our first security system was based on 3 different threat levels and 3 defense values for each building. Too many variables for the player to keep tabs on. It took a while but after mulling it over we finally managed to design a new, more fitting, security system. 

The player will have a general single Security value, General constructions and buildings will decrease this value while security buildings will increase it. During the day time the player will also be able to access a new UI menu called security panel. This panel shows up to 5 different attackers each day. Each attacker has a danger value. This added range of values is shown in the Danger value in the HUD.

During night time the player can assign characters to be on guard duty, adding to the security value, in exchange for not regaining stamina. 

Finally, before the day begins all 5 possible monsters are shown with their definitive danger values and one by one they are repelled using the total Security value. This domino effects allows the possibility will playing with the attackers positions and will be further explored in future instalments.
